The Northern Piedmont Community Foundation administers five gift giving options that can be established by donors or donor organizations. Choose the one that's right for you:
1. Unrestricted Funds
You can use your gift to meet ever-changing community needs including future needs that often cannot be anticipated at the time your gift is made. We evaluate all aspects of community well-being family, child and social welfare; public and civic life; arts and culture; education; health; the environment and more. The flexibility of your unrestricted gift enables our local program experts to respond to the economy's most pressing needs, today and tomorrow.
2. Field of Interest Funds
You can target your gift to address needs in an important area of community life like the arts, homelessness, aging, or at-risk youth. You identify your personal interests when making your gift; our board awards grants to community agencies and programs that are making a difference in the area you select.
Minimum: $10,000
3. Designated Funds
With a designated fund you can direct your gift to a specific agency or purpose. Help provide ongoing funding for a senior center, museum, your church, or virtually any nonprofit charitable organization. You identify the recipient you wish to benefit through your gift; our staff manages the annual distribution of funds.
Minimum: $10,000
4. Donor Advised Funds
With a donor advised fund, you can have ongoing involvement in the use of your gift. You work with our professional staff to identify ways to use dollars from your donor advised fund to address the issues and needs you care about most. Your recommendations are submitted to our local board for approval, we then distribute grant dollars.
Minimum: $10,000
5. Scholarship Funds
You can create a scholarship with your gift. Scholarships are attractive to many donors and can be structured to benefit students at any education level, or for a specific institution.
Minimum: $10,000
