NPCF in Top Philanthropic Tier Nationally
The Northern Piedmont Community Foundation (NPCF) recently received notification that it has met the nation’s highest philanthropic standards for operational quality, integrity and accountability. The notice comes from the Council on Foundations, a national professional association based in Washington, D.C.
NPCF Announces 2007 Scholarship Recipients
The Northern Piedmont Community Foundation awarded the following seven scholarships for the 2007 2008 school year.
NPCF Receives Major Gift from Palmer Family
Isabelle S. Palmer, who passed away on April 6, 2005, has left a legacy to her community in memory of her husband M. Meade Palmer, a landscape architect and community volunteer, who died on July 16, 2001.
The Northern Piedmont Community Foundation received a $375,000 gift from Isabelle Palmer’s family, to establish the M. Meade Palmer Endowed Fund, which will support charitable causes in the community.
NPCF Awards Grants to Community Organizations
The Northern Piedmont Community Foundation awarded grants to the Blue Ridge Chorale of Culpeper and the American Children of SCORE from its Now and Forever Fund.

Grants to Community Organizations
The Northern Piedmont Community Foundation (NPCF) awarded eleven grants from its Unrestricted Funds in FY 2005 to nonprofit organizations in Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison and Rappahannock Counties. These gifts will have a wide range of benefits for the Northern Piedmont area.
Hoysa Hokie Club Memorial Scholarship
Fund at NPCF Raises Over $50,000
The Debbie Hoysa Hokie Club Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Northern Piedmont Community Foundation (NPCF) has exceeded its goal and raised over $50,000. In August 2005, an anonymous donor offered to match all contributions up to $25,000 that were made to the scholarship fund that was established by the Fauquier Hokie Club to honor Debbie Hoysa’s love for Virginia Tech.
