Archie O. Edwards Memorial Oncology Fund

Established in memory of Archie O. Edwards to provide support to ease the financial burden of patients with Oncological and/or Hematological needs within Fauquier County.

The Gordon Thornhill Excellence in Youth Foundation

Established to honor the memory of C. Gordon Thornhill, Sr. to provide much needed support to nonprofit organizations for sports and agriculture related enrichment projects for the youth of Rappahannock County.

Scholarship Funds

Steve Athey Memorial Scholarship Fund

Established in memory of Steve Athey, a man who was passionate about baseball and building a baseball community in Fauquier County, this scholarship serves students graduating from Fauquier or Liberty Public High School.

Laura Bagshaw Memorial Scholarship Fund

Established in memory of Laura Bagshaw, a young woman who demonstrated the qualities of school spirit, athleticism, community service, compassion and leadership.

Rodger H. Baker Scholarship Fund

This scholarship is for a graduating senior of Fauquier County who plans to pursue a career in the health field at a 2 or 4-year institution. Preference will go to students pursuing a nursing degree, but all health fields will be considered.

Robyn Teates Bixenman Memorial Scholarship Fund

Established in memory of Robyn Teates Bixenman, this fund will award a scholarship to graduates of Fauquier High School who plan on pursuing a career in nursing, music, or veterinary medicine.

David Wayne Brown Memorial Scholarship Fund

Established in memory of David Wayne Brown, a young man who was a dedicated and loyal father and son.

Pauline Bruce Memorial Scholarship Fund

Established in memory of Pauline Bruce, who taught in both the Rappahannock and Fauquier public schools for more than 40 years. Qualifying applicants must show a desire and aptitude to succeed in their college career. 

Agnes Cunningham Brown Memorial Scholarship fund

Established in memory of Agnes Cunningham Brown in support of high school students in Culpeper County

Ina Kate Carter Scholarship Fund

Established in memory of Ina Kate Carter, a teacher and coach who dedicated her life to children and was Virginia’s winningest girls’ high school basketball and girls’ outdoor track coach.

Celebrate Education! Ruth Lea Davies Scholarship Fund

Established in memory of Ruth Lea Davies, who taught English in Culpeper County for 31 years. Provides financial assistance to outstanding Culpeper County teachers to further their professional development.

Cooley, Dearing and Rinker Educational Scholarship Fund

Established to provide financial scholarships to the students of Frederick, Rappahannock, and City of Winchester and Warren counties

Culpeper Rotary Scholarship Fund

Established to support outstanding Culpeper County students who demonstrate community involvement and are pursuing either 4-year higher ed degrees or 2-year technical or trade school certifications

Culpeper Wellness Foundation Health and Wellness Scholarship

This scholarship was established by The Culpeper Wellness Foundation to benefit individuals of any age who are residents of Culpeper, Madison or Orange counties. Applicants must be accepted into a health or wellness-related certificate or degree program at Germanna Community College. All health fields will be considered.

Tyler Devers Memorial Scholarship Fund

The Tyler Devers Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in memory of Tyler Devers, a 2016 Fauquier High School graduate. The recipient must have been involved in the Future Business Leaders of America for at least one year

Fauquier County Chamber of Commerce Max Tufts Scholarship Fund

Established in memory of Maximilian A. Tufts, Sr., an energetic community volunteer.

Patrick Ryan Gay Memorial JMU Scholarship Fund

Established to honor the memory of Patrick Gay, a kind, hard-working graduate of Fauquier High School and James Madison University.

Debbie P. Hoysa Hokie Club Scholarship Fund

Established in memory of Debbie Pearson Hoysa, a Fauquier County native and graduate of Fauquier High School and Virginia Tech.

Jason C. Heim Memorial Scholarship Fund

Established in memory of Jason C. Heim, a graduate of Brentsville District High School who possessed great artistic talent.

Gerry Henson Memorial Scholarship Fund

Established in memory of Gerry Henson who was passionate about youth sports in Fauquier County.

Kathleen Hitt Mercado Memorial Scholarship Fund

Established in memory of Kathleen Hitt Mercado, a woman who taught in Fauquier County for 35 years.

Dr. Eric J. Maybach Memorial Scholarship Fund

Established in memory of Dr. Eric J. Maybach, beloved Fauquier physician who, through the years, changed the lives of many people.

Northern Piedmont Community Foundation Music Scholarship fund

Established to support a graduating senior from Fauquier or Rappahannock County public school who intends to seek a degree in Music. For applicants pursuing, audtions are required

Margaret M. Pierce Memorial Scholarship Fund

Established in memory of Margaret M. Pierce, who was a dedicated elementary school teacher and principal in Fauquier County and inspired many with her enthusiasm for education.

Alan Ashton Poe Scholarship Fund

Established in memory of Alan Ashton Poe for a Fauquier County Public High School graduate who will be competing in NCAA Division III sports in college.

RMD Open Scholarship

This is a scholarship open to Rappahonnock County residents all year, and for individuals of all ages pursuing additional educational coursework or training. Applicants pursuing certificate coursework at RappU are encouraged to apply.

Rmd Technical Scholarship Fund

Open to Rappahannock County high school students pursuing further career education in the technical or trade fields, for instance auto, welding, or carpentry.

Rodgers Family Agricultural/Engineering Scholarship fund

Established to support a Fauquier County graduating senior who intends to seek a degree in an agricultural and/or an engineering related field.

St Luke’s Foundation Scholarship Fund

This scholarship is open to seniors who are residents of Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison, or Rappahannock counties, and are alumni of any private school in Culpeper County, VA

Lois Snead Arts and Crafts Scholarship Fund

This scholarship honors Lois Snead’s lifetime love of the arts and is open to Rappahannock County high school seniors.

Paul S. Trible Memorial Scholarship Fund

Established in memory of Paul S. Trible, Sr., a local business owner and devoted supporter of Fauquier High School athletics and sports medicine trainers.

Theodore James Warzinski Memorial
Scholarship FUnd

Established in 2018 to honor the memory of Theodore James Warzinski, this scholarship is available to Fauquier High School students, with priority given to students attending Lord Fairfax Community College, as well as first-generation college students and those who demonstrate financial need.

Mary Beth Williams Memorial scholasrhip fund

Established in memory of Mary Beth Williams who was interested in higher education and agriculture. This fund was established as a memorial to her and her dreams.
